Supervised surfing and surf hire is also available on Gower everyday throughout the summer. Wetsuits, surfboards and bodyboards are available. You should be a good swimmer and it is advisable that have had a surfing lesson with GSD or another GB Surfing School.  You must adhere to the safety information given out by staff to you when picking up surfing equipment. To arrange hire or supervised surfing simply TXT 07739 536122 the day or evening before.

A big congrats to RNLI Beach Lifeguard  Nick Dowrick for recently winning his second Welsh Longboard Title.  The RNLI play a massive part in the Surf Gower community, keeping beaches safe and of course giving young surfers a chance of a good job with superb training.  Please support the RNLI whenever you get a chance.
Love the Beach.

After a hot spell in May many beaches including Caswell Bay and Rhossili Beach were left in an awful state almost resembling that of a music festival site. Please keep the beach clean and tidy by taking all your trash home with you or dispose in the bins provided. Most importantly if you do smoke please remember ‘no butts on the beach’ as they kill birds and marine life.  Leave nothing but your footprints on the beach.
Thanks/Diolch

Simon Jayham, SurfGSD

Rhossili bay must be one of the most beautiful locations in the UK for surfing on it's day?

Rhossili_bay_on_the_west_coast_of_gRhossili bay is ideal for surfing due to the soft breaking nature of the waves at the bottom of the cliff, after the long scenic walk to the beach below the surfer is warmed up and ready for the surf session ahead. Rhossili offers easy parking and good bus links from Swansea. The Worms head hotel has awesome views (see Rhossili bay pictures here) and is a great place to stay if you are on a weekend break, alternatively if you fancy camping then there is Pitton Cross about 5 mins drive from this view. Click here for more information on how to visit, surf or stay at  Rhossili Bay.
The Causeway Cafe or Wormshead hotel are good places to refresh after the surfing experience and replace all the energy used walking up the stairs... For more information on our learn to surf beach locations and booking click here.
